The Mortlocks of Meldreth

Three generations of the Mortlock family lived in Meldreth and Melbourn during the C19th and C20th.  They were wealthy land owners who owed their prosperity to their ancestor John Mortlock [1695 - 1758], the founder of the Mortlock China Company of Regents Street.  Click on the pages below to find out more about this influential family and their impact on Meldreth.
