Accidents to Mr Charles Ellis

Melbourn. Accident. On Thursday last week Mr Charles Ellis, of Meldreth, was in this village on horseback, when his horse shied, slipped, and fell with, unfortunately, on of the rider's legs under him. Mr Ellis was conveyed home in a cart, and was attended by R. Pyne, Esq. surgeon. We understand there are no bones fractured, but Mr E's ankle is sprained, and his foot and leg very much bruised.

Melbourn. Accident. On Friday, the 24th July, as Mr. Charles Ellis, of Meldreth, was returning from his farm at Melbourn, on horseback, his horse stumbled and fell, and unfortunately fractured one of Mr. Ellis' legs. He was conveyed home in the Rev. A.C. Wright's carriage, and was attended by Messrs. Pine and Carver, of Royston. We are glad to learn that he is progressing favourably. This is the third time that Mr. Ellis has met with an accident to the same leg by being thrown from his horse, and each time the accident has happened at Melbourn.
