Village Walk Booklets
Firstly there is a booklet detailing five, circular walks around the village which was produced by the Meldreth Village Association as a Millennium project. Points of interest along the way are described briefly in the booklet and marked by numbered plaques and posts positioned along the trails. This booklet is priced at £3.50.
We also have a booklet of a more detailed, circular walk of the village priced at just £1.
Terry Dash, Joan Gane and Ann Handscombe have carried out over 30 interviews with senior members of the village. These have been edited and put on CDs as an archive of the memories of older Meldreth residents. They also serve as a valuable resource for the Group as well as capturing the distinctive South Cambridgeshire dialect. A double CD compilation containing 40 extracts from these CDs has been produced and is available for purchase. The cost of this double CD is just £7.
Meldreth at War CD
This CD, priced at just £3, contains 12 war-time reminiscences of Meldreth residents extracted from the 30+ interviews conducted by the History Group and also from the Reminiscences Evenings undertaken by the Friends of Holy Trinity Church.
Meldreth Holy Trinity Church Reminiscences
The Friends of Holy Trinity Church have held three reminiscences evenings of talks given by the members of the village recalling their life in Meldreth. The History Group recorded these talks and produced CDs which are available from the Group at £5 each. £2 of this money goes to the Friends of Holy Trinity.
We have completely sold out of Christmas Cards and have no plans at present to produce any more.
