Membership

Meldreth Local History Group welcomes new members. Membership is free and all members receive newsletters about the Group’s events and projects.

Our Meetings

In September 2021, following an enforced break due to Covid, we were able to resume our meetings.  Our meetings take place on the first Monday of every month (excluding bank holidays) at the Sheltered Housing Community Room, Elin Way, Meldreth SG8 6LX . At the meetings, group members discuss different topics or projects they are interested in or are working on, taking the opportunity to share information and discuss ideas. These meetings are open to anyone with a knowledge of or willingness to help record the history of Meldreth.

How You Can Help

Please consider coming along to one of our meetings if you are interested in helping us with our work. Alternatively, you may prefer to work from home in your own time and there is no shortage of work to be done! Available tasks include adding information to the website, conducting interviews, editing audio files, transcribing documents or researching an aspect of the village's history. You can also support us by purchasing merchandise.

Contributing to the Site

We also welcome contributions to our site. You can add a comment about anything on the website by clicking on the ‘Add a comment’ link at the bottom of each page. You can also submit your own photos, stories or information to the site by using our contribution form.
