A New Adventure Playground
In c. 2002 it was reported that the final phase of a new adventure playground at the school was nearing completion, thanks to a boost from the school’s Parent Teacher Association.
The PTA had raised another £5000 for finishing off the playground, which was started the previous year with £3000 worth of funds.
Headteacher Julie Fitch said, “It was a good result for a small school. The company that made the equipment, Playcare, is installing it for free, which has saved us a lot of money.”
She said, as a result, the six teachers at the school had been given £150 each from the left-over funds to spend on extra classroom materials.
