The Adcock Family

Members of the Adcock family lived in Meldreth since at least the late eighteenth century until 2016. They were primarily employed in agriculture: occupations have included farmers, agricultural labourers, millers and bakers. Several generations of the family ran Topcliffe Mill, which they leased from St. Thomas's Hospital, London.  Another branch of the family ran one of the bakehouses in the village.
The family has links through marriage to many other Meldreth families.
